A gathering storm for "Declarations"
Things are beginning to take shape and July is still many months away.
On the recommendation by Ms. Barbara Neff, of Sailfest fame, I submitted a formal request to use the New London Waterfront park to our City Manager, Mr. Richard Brown. This happened yesterday, December 2. I've no idea just when word will come down from on high about approval.
And there is a real meeting taking place at the Dutch Tavern on December 7, (Pearl Harbor Day, no less) with myself, Mathew King of grand artistic fame, perhaps Loire Hopkins of marketing and advertising know-how and a few others. All are welcome to attend and I'll even buy the first round.
Jim Stidfold also allowed his name to to be used in the permit app, which was a great help.
So given the fact that there is no money, sponsor, advertising or an organization; I think we're doing rather well.
Remember, December 7 at 3 p.m. at The Dutch. First round is on me.
Peter
